I trained at Falmouth School of Art, where I specialised in film, installation and performance. My interest was in time and memory, environment and personal politics. I have been running St. Luke's Art Project since 1993. Initially the project was an artist-in-residence scheme and has grown into a multi faceted open studio, employing a number of artists and offering facilities and support for local people to get involved.
For me, St. Luke's Art Project is the major work of art of my practice. It's a work that can't be pinned down, always changing and growing.
In 2000 I completed MA Art as Environment at MMU and since then, as well as St. Luke's Art Project, I've been working on a number of other projects in the area, including acting as a contemporary art curator for Victoria Baths Trust, commissioning new work, and working with Pool Arts, an exciting artists collective that runs a gallery in a garden SHED amongst other things......
